The true recognition of any degree comes from its acceptance by the business, professional and academic communities. Many corporations are continually seeking programs that will allow their supervisory, middle and top management personnel to improve and continue their education without sacrificing productivity. Hundreds of corporations have evaluated Kennedy-Western's programs through their personnel and employee relations departments, and have recognized the work toward the degree for advancement, salary increases and entry qualifications for new positions.
The Criminal Justice program is specifically structured to be equally applicable to individuals in both administrative and non-administrative roles with a broad-based understanding of both technical and procedural aspects of the tripartite apparatus that comprises our system of criminal justice, i.e., police, courts and corrections. For those individuals taking a more practical hands-on role within the field, such as in law enforcement and corrections, the University seeks to educate with a vocational focus of real world, practical applications, augmented with course work of an administrative nature. The student with an administrative background will learn about the components of the American system of criminal justice and the administration of criminal justice.
